Tirta Gangga

Tirta Gangga water lace is a Former royal place in eastern Bali ,.Tirta Gangga literally means water from te ganges, this pace is a maze of pools and fountain srrounded by lush garden and stone carving and statues, all of the statues are taken from the Hindu Historical epos like Mahabrata or Rmayana. This complex was built in 1948 with unique architectural style of Bali and China, by the late king of karangasem, Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem ,but it was destroyed almost entirely by the eruption of nearby mount Agung in 1963.

Tirta Gangga located at Abang Sub-district, Karangasem Regency  its about 5 km from Karangasem,a long the way you will see beautiful green nature , and rice  fields.

When you come from ubud, or center of bali , you will see so many Temple,and statue.
Tirta Gangga open from 7am until 6 pm ,this is main gate to entre, and the counter stay in left side,  for ticket only Rp.25.000 / person ,
Tirta Gangga places in 1.2 hectares in area which consists of three complexes.
The first complex thai is at the very bottom to find fountains, like this picture

The  fountain water has eleven tiers with  a shape of lotus at its tip,this is 10 meter high, the spouting water splashes down the tiers, make a cooling effect and  a sooting  sight, at the lower level, there are two clear pool, one of then serve as public wedding pool and  visitor are welcome to swim  here.


The second complex is in the center where it can be found a swimming pool , and the third one near from the Temple.

Karangasem has many destination as well like diving in Tulamben and Amed beach and there are small warung stall outside the site and around parking area , don't forget to buy someting, to remaind you  was there in TIRTA GANGGA , BALI .
